this is sort of immediately the scariest of the silent hill games so far due to every enemy taking way more hits to kill, kind of didn't have to do any enemy juking in 2 but this one is all about maneuvering around enemies and being very selective with who is worth fighting

james would look at everything in sh2 and be like "i never liked that, that doesnt interest me, i hate this bluh bluh" meanwhile heather is like "look this stuff is neat i have to admit i just dont have the time for it" i appreciate how considerate she is

everything about the opening part of this game has been amazing so far, what a great direction for a sequel. also heather mason is such a breath of fresh air as a protagonist compared to ol' sourpuss james

like obviously having every encounter feel like fighting for your life probably wouldn't be fun. but every now and then in the middle of normal routine fights there has to be that one encounter that just leaves you with a thousand yard stare

walking towards the third sanctuary and in one encounter get two party members mushroomized, paula casts fire on party and kills jeff + herself, ness misses every hit and gets punched to death shortly afterwards
