Haha, I was one of the top IL speedrunners back in like 2019. Most of the IL speedruns on YouTube are from me. I got a friend into it and when she bopped one of my times, I couldn't let her keep it!
Verlet Swing. I speedran this game a lot in 2018 and 2019.
The best part about speedrunning is bopping your friends.
264) The Beast of Muir (Subscriber Short Trips 44)

The first story that really highlights Leela's strengths, and what she contributes as a companion. As a hunter/warrior type, having her capture a wild animal works so well. The themes in this story also work wonderfully.

263) The Revisionists (Short Trips 9.01)

A lovely character study into the Brigadier and Leela. These two have some great chemistry, and the look into the Brig's backstory and character motivation was just incredible.

262) The Robots of Death (TV Season 14 Serial 5)

Another BANGER. I wasn't really feeling the this era at first, but I'm going to miss Phillip Hinchcliffe after he leaves after the next serial.

Anyway, this story is yet another really good Among Us. I love Among Us.

I worry that I'm updating my Doctor Who media thread too often right now as I'm reading through a short story collection, but also like... I have the tag for a reason. If people were annoyed, they probably would have muted the tag by now. (I hope so, at least.)
261) The Look of Love (1001 Nights in Time and Space 8)

Really cool to get a look into the Visians from The Dalek's Master Plan, though the story is quite basic. Pretty cute idea for a story, having a member of an invisible species fall in love with another. Cute enough folk story.

260) The Story of Lulubelle (1001 Nights in Time and Space 7)

On one hand, this story feels pretty pointless, and doesn't add a lot in its 8-minute retelling of The Church on Ruby Road. On the other hand, the style of prose is quite nice and whimsical. I liked it.

259) The Bad Mother (1001 Nights in Time and Space 6)

I was not expecting this to be an account of the Timeless Child's story, but wow, it really works. Adding Tecteun's asides throughout the story was a brilliant move that really highlights how abusers self-justify their actions.

258) The Puppetmaker's Daughter (1001 Nights in Time and Space 5)

Neat little tragedy about a girl coming into contact with a Cyberman. The ending, where the Cyberman convinces her to do his bidding, feels very tragic, which is one of my favorite implementation of Cybermen.

257) The Little Queen and Her Lord (1001 Nights in Time and Space 4)

I said that I don't like folk tales, but sometimes, they really do bring this magical, whimsical energy that is infectious. This is simply a retelling of The Girl in the Fireplace, but I loved the added whimsy.

(Playing American Truck Simulator)
Yeah, sorry I was almost late with your package. I suddenly noticed I could take a scenic route around this mountain path, but then I fell off a cliff and heavily damaged my truck and your goods. Luckily, I got towed, and still made your delivery in time!
256) The Tale of Sleepers (1001 Nights in Time and Space 3)

I loved this one. It's basically a bedtime story about the spooky monsters that hide in the dark, except it's about the recurring monsters of Doctor Who. So SO cute. More of this!!

255) The Butterfly Who Became a Caterpillar (1001 Nights in Time and Space 2)

It's a folk story about the history of Vortis before The Webbed Planet. I'm not a big fan of folk stories, and I'm not a big fan of The Webbed Planet. Next.

I just finished watching Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games and... it was okay. I didn't like it very much. There's some fun moments, but it all felt so trite despite it's novel premise. The themes are so basic, yet it also feels constantly confused by its own themes. It shouldn't be this dull.
254) Giant (1001 Nights in Time & Space 1)

Cute little story about the robot from Robot, from the robot's point of view. Quite cliché story about a robot gaining emotions and learning to love, but it's cliché for a reason: it works.

253) Blood Type (Smith and Sullivan 1.3)

Another banger to end out this set. This story made me a bit uncomfortable, but in a good way, that made me compelled to see how the story would end. I've been critical of Simon Guerrier, but when he hits, he hits hard.

Pride was fun, but more importantly, I got to hang out with my friends while around a bunch of queer folks. :D
Friend: "Have you ever seen so many queer people in one place before?"
Me: "Yeah, I've been to a speedrunning event."
Trains are awesome. I don't get the chance to ride trains very often, but I always love it.
252) Fear Death by Water (New Series Adventures 75)

What a lovely novel. The style of prose is incredible, the themes are executed so well, and Grace Darling is an incredibly realized character. I loved every single scene with Grace, especially her chemistry with the Doctor.

251) Union of the Snake (Smith and Sullivan 1.2)

Yeah, this range is awesome. It reminds me of the Paternoster Gang, with little local mysteries to solve, but set in the 80s. K9 is basically just Strax. So it's no wonder that I'm loving it so much. This story was great.
