Heartbreaking: Neo-soul legends Angie Stone and D’Angelo both passed away in 2025, just 7 months apart. Stone died in March at 63. D’Angelo died today at 51. They shared a son together. An entire generation’s soundtrack, gone. Rest in power to both 🕊️💔

In my opinion, journalism is the only profession that sells the one thing everyone wants - Truth. When done correctly, journalism sells truth and tells the story of everyone's perspective in each given situation. I adore and love that about journalism.

Student loans are the scam. College is not a scam at all.... well.. actually forcing the kids to buy those books are the scam. Personally, I used to buy the teacher's edition to books so I could have all the answers. That's a pro-tip.

I have a few but maybe being protested against. That was interesting because people was busting into my classrooms to yell at me. I never experienced that before.

Time management is your biggest currency. If you master time management, you will master the college experience. I wish I learned that early on.

That classes aren't the point the college, it's the network. Of course classes matter, but you're going there for the connections and ultimately the career. But imo those connections matter far more than the courses themselves.

My friend worked at Wendy's and another friend worked in our marketplace. I would buy a value nugget and she would sneak $30 worth of food in my bag. The other would give me double chicken tenders and Mac n cheese. I never worried about food lol. I would also have freshmen giving me their mealplans.

College was a confusing, fun, growth experience. A couple downs but way more ups when I think about it. I'd do it all again if I could.

Idk what type of person I was tbh. Sometimes I felt like a main character, sometimes I was a wall flower, sometimes I was a cool dude sometimes I was annoying lol. It depended on the day.
