Sometimes that pedestal is way too high, as attested by many high functioning and former alcoholics
you can tell what gamedev has touched a character customization system by the way they use more inclusive terminology
there was a video essay about why so many billionaires are moving to singapore from asianboss and honestly i felt disgusted how much money and personal bias influences local politics and economics
Spending my afternoon listening to composers talking about what inspires certain soundtracks they've worked on. I love just how much of this involves crate digging for older music and narrowing down the tone first and finding elements to support the foundation of a score.
i think about how a lot of chuds 10 years ago moaned about DEI quotas and bullshit in the workplace, that was not absolutely not a thing in North America. That was something so many people fought so hard for because the discrimination and workplace abuse was insane.

The silliest part about concept art is how invisible it really is until it's finally in a book or promo materials - or if we're really lucky, in game assets.

and not every studio will have someone they can pawn off implementation tasks to, so that means learning game engines
