These dainty little Aster blooms have been gifting me so much joy since their petals began unfurling a few days ago 🥰 They looked particularly beautiful this morning, cloaked in a fine mist of tiny water droplets, with their colour popping so vibrantly beneath an overcast, grey sky ❤️

The Comfrey has enjoyed a little revival along our local riverbank, as this bountiful plant gives one final flourish before the season's end 🥰 They added a wonderful splash of colour to our wander today & are proving a welcome source of pollen & nectar for the Bumblebees too 🐝❤️

There's nothing quite like the peace of a wild village #churchyard 🌿 Beneath the shade of the churchyard's trees, with the ancient church spire towering above us, we quietly watched a Collared Dove thoughtfully gather the perfect sticks for its nest somewhere nearby ❤️

I've been trying hard this year to tackle the IDs of some of the #wildflower species I've always struggled to differentiate, but this week's #WildflowerHour pick has stumped me. I'm thinking it might be Bristly Oxtongue, but would appreciate any #WildflowerID help ❤️
