Liebe Leute, bitte, bitte bestellt eure Bücher beim lokalen Buchhändler. Herr Bezos wartet nur darauf, dass unsere kleinteilige, vielfältige Einzelhandelsstruktur kaputt geht.

Schnell mal zum Buchladen um die Ecke - das wird immer schwieriger. Obwohl die Branche mehr Umsatz macht, gibt es immer weniger Geschäfte. Das Statistikamt nennt auch mögliche Gründe für den Rückgang.

Die vage Beschreibung der Studien-Methodik lässt noch einige Fragen bei mir offen. Aber es klingt schon mal interessant: Forschende nutzen KI deutlich mehr als letztes Jahr, schrauben aber gleichzeitig ihre Erwartungen an die derzeitigen Möglichkeiten der KI zurück.

Wahrscheinlich ist es wirklich so: Wenn es immer noch eine weitere Quelle zu berücksichtigen gibt und schnell publizieren müssen die Qualität verschlechtert - „The qualities that machines cannot replicate, such as care, imagination and ethical judgement, may become the true marks of scholarship“.

Für mich bestätigt das, dass man als Bibliothek immer wieder auf die Kund:innensicht switchen muss und die Services entsprechend anpassen. Was lange funktioniert hat, muss trotzdem immer wieder überprüft werden aus deren Perspektive.
