Great to see @liambme.bsky.social represented at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show
Really enjoying Glen Schofield's talk at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show on the creative process and his pragmatic thinking around AI
Sure.... Changi has a waterfall and a slide... But the real stars of the attraction are the cinnamon buns
Aren't there two? One at Jurong and one at Plaza Sing?
I've never understood the big deal about this, it's the demographics they're after so it makes sense.
The military’s target audience are in two demographics: 16-to-24-year olds, and 24-to-35-year-olds.
ADF targets popular games like FIFA to recruit young Australians with shiny ads

"The former rugby star was on Thursday night told he was no longer welcome at Australian Parliament Sports Club events, and accused of politicising the organisation."

How is the Parliament Sports Club not already politicised?
That sucks. I tried to find my work on GameSpot yesterday and the last of it seems to be fully gone
Nah, lower framerates and textures don't count.

I'm talking total rebuilds/adaptations to different genres. So many AAA games were turned into side-scrollers for GBA back then
I miss the days of trying to squeeze AAA IP onto significantly less powered consoles.
It feels bigger than the 3S and it's noticeably heavier. The weight doesn't bother me, but given I have smallish hands it doesn't quite fit as well.
I don't know what's the dumbest thing I've done in the last week:
1. Ask a lady I'm super keen on to a governance and risk event... she said no, unsurprisingly.
2. Got unreasonably excited for this new mouse
Why does it feel like that?
Elton John's performance on Sunday night was excellent. A real highlight of the the year so far. The old boy still has it!
Looking forward to seeing you in Bangkok next week!
Has anyone bought a #Kindle Colorsoft? I'm very tempted to get one during the sales and am curious to hear experiences with the colour screen
Again, that's a Singtel problem, not a country (shareholder) problem.

Trying to pin it to SG is silly
Trying to hang the Optus problem on Singapore is so dumb, though. It's not a shareholder problem; it's a company and regulatory issue.

It's awful what has happened and it needs to be undoubtedly fixed, but he isn't the guy to ask about it.
Yeah nice one, does that mean he will have to do one less subject next year?

Good luck to both him [and you]!
Whoa that's pretty hardcore. What grade is your kid in?
I agree that the "Netflix of games" was talked about, but few took the time to run the numbers or assess the viability other than "it would be cool"
In saying that, GP also faces the challenge of games being undervalued and expensive to make, despite the fact that consumers think otherwise.
it's not as many power users as many assume.

When GP came out, Xbox was already in a slump; they could not have justified a full-priced service. The low price point created a very successful 'why not' response that would not have caught on when there was no other reason to switch it on
There was nothing else like it because nobody was asking for it. When you're that far behind, you have few choices other than trying to be the nicest person in the room and break the business model and own the rebuild.

It makes sense for power users, but when you look at attach rates...
Imagine how fast Uber would have flatlined if they priced the same as taxis
