Last week, I was asked what more efficient international aid could look like.➡️Instead of selling US crops🌽 to already weakened and fragile economies overseas, support the latter in developing their own agricultural sector to support food autonomy, livelihood and resilience.👩‍🌾

Seems like people—especially in the West—are [very] slowly realizing that a world order that is dominated by a single power is not in the interests of anyone. It had to hit their pockets for that reckoning to happen. Sigh.😒

@mehdirhasan.bsky.social interviewed Rasool earlier this year where he called Gaza 'apartheid on steroids' and criticized Trump and Musk for interfering globally

This US policy is disgusting. The bullying must stop. It is time for Western states that purport to be partners of Global South countries to show up.

France benefits from the Cuban medical sector through the Fr Caribbean region. The French government should clearly stand in support for Caribbean nations, which are fighting for their states' sovereignty in the face of the US gvt's blatant coercion.

Btwn a transactional Trump & great power competition, this type of move was predictable & why the whole narrative about the critical minerals "opportunity" for producer countries is bs. Let's stop pretending that critical minerals are the golden ticket for devpt. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Trump "clearly doesn't think we should lead the world. Look, America is not perfect, but I stand with the majority of Americans who believe we are still exceptional, unparalleled." - Slotkin's response to Trump. Even in these turbulent times, the Dems are not learning: US exceptionalism ain't it.

Could Trump make a deal with Putin re: Ukraine that includes, BRICS and the dedollarization agenda in exchange? Trump would also hit China thus doing, and successfully push the Europeans to step up their defense spending. Sounds like it could be a win on all fronts. foreignpolicy.com/2025/02/25/c...

For a country that, less than a year ago, wanted to preserve "the liberal world order," the US is successful at taking it apart. Perhaps Western countries that are trying to navigate this mess will now agree that a more balanced international system is favorable to them too.
