the access to your identity and discussions around your identity is a privilege for only those who you deem safe. The autonomy to decide when and if you come out or invite people in is yours. We’re sending healing & sunlight your way today wherever you are! 🧡💛 #internationalcomingoutday #invitingin

Happy International Coming Out Day!

As we celebrate, we’d also like to reframe the discussion of one’s identity as Inviting In—a term popularised by National Black Justice Coalition. Inviting In shifts the power to you;

The Summary Offences Amendment Bill gives police unchecked power to arrest people for “unreasonable disruption” — without defining what that even means. We’ve seen this play out overseas — peaceful activists fined, arrested, and silenced.

Don’t let it happen here.

Queer, trans, takatāpui, Māori, migrant, disabled, and working-class communities have always relied on protest to survive — to demand to be seen, to be safe, to be free. This Bill would criminalise that.
Urgent call for submissions!

When you vote this year, think about the role of arts, culture and creativity in your wellbeing, your whānau’s, and your community’s future. #CreativityBelongsHere

Voting closes on midday Saturday 11 October. #localelections #tāmakimakaurau #auckland

Arts and creativity reflect the stories, languages and cultures that make our communities unique. They connect us across generations, help us learn from each other, and ensure every voice has a place.
Creativity Belongs Here.

In the photo, two kaumātua are dancing to blush.mp3 DJing with Tino Rangatiratanga flag behind the DJ booth. Arts and creativity reflect the stories, languages and
cultures that make our communities unique. They connect us across generations, help us learn from each other, and ensure every voice has a place. Local elections decide who gets funded, what gets built, and where culture lives.

If you want your city colourful, creative, and community-led, you gotta say so. When you vote this year, think about the role of arts, culture and creativity in your wellbeing, your whānau’s, and your community’s future.
