I do find it a bit amusing how a lot of us photographers and videographers spend so much money to make our finely tuned and expensive gear create an imperfect image.

Sometimes all you need is a massive window in the studio.

One of these days I’m gonna own a natural light studio. Or I’ll compromise and own a large studio where I can turn a giant scrim into artificial window light, heh.

Maybe the real American dream is to leave.

I’m tired. This country seems barreling towards total collapse…all because a part of it can’t accept that people who don’t look like them deserve rights. It’s an insane thing to witness live.

It may be time to plan a move to Europe. Like seriously.

If I didn’t need to have a social presence for my freelance photography, I would delete every form of social media with no hesitation.

Definitely one of my goals if I garner enough success to be completely word-of-mouth based.

In this content era, I feel that social media has lost all of the ‘social’ and has just become a nonstop bombardment of “trying to sell you something”. It’s tiring, and IMO is why there’s so much burnout in most artistic fields. How are you photographers doing out there?

I think Bluesky is the place for photographers to be. The vast majority of other social media platforms only seem to care about “content” and reels. It actually feels pointless to post photos on them anymore.

Migraines are actually hell. I get them a few times a month and have no idea what’s the trigger.

Imo if you haven’t yet, go to a neurologist and get an abortive. I have Immitrex Sumatriptan which while it doesn’t fully stop the pain, etc. I can at least function for the rest of the day.
