Have you ever watched VAR in rugby? All out in the open, refs and VAR officials mic’d up, fans, players and officials watching together on the big screen in stadium and on TV and reasoning it out together, live. Far better experience, better decisions and done in half the time. Would recommend.

I don’t remember this group fighting their way individually into a thriving team on merit, but rather being anointed pretty much en masse to succeed an exhausted one. It played from day one like they had to be treated differently, raised like veal. Nobody’s fault/everyone’s fault.

It’s always struck me as bizarre that Healthcare agencies are sponsoring professional sports teams. Like, shouldn’t that money go into health? Then I remember that where you live agencies aren’t there to protect health and I feel less confused but kind of 🤢. US healthcare is so grotesque.

I don’t want any of them to go, anyway. They’ve already put 60,000+km behind them. And it makes the story sweeter. There’s a lot of goodwill around the league for this ‘forgotten team’ so lean into it. It’s their brand.
