I am a figurative watercolorist, which means I make watercolor art featuring the human body. This is a deeply personal spiritual practice for me. https://artofjosh.gallery

I love it when people can hold a large body of my work in their hands. I think my hardcover art book is the second best thing to owning original paintings. Plus, a book is a nice alternative for those who love nude art but are not ready to display it on their walls.

This looks great for just learning. Impressive!
I am so excited to watch this. Had tears in my eyes just watching the trailer.
Damn that’s a beautiful view.

What a wonderful observation. Thank you.
You are so kind to let me practice with your image. ❤️
Thanks! I like leaning into the “imperfections” of watercolor and let it do its thing to combine realism with abstractionism.

Here is a tiny peek at my watercolor art in the #hardcover2025 book. The theme is “retro”, which will make sense when you see the rest of the painting.

This fun multi-artist project is launching tomorrow on Kickstarter. I am honored to be included with a host of other extraordinary artists.

I want to give a big thank you to @kootenayrosehaus.bsky.social, who modeled for the art I submitted.

This is an amazing ink drawing.
I can see that. I’m so happy she’s open to the idea.
Aw, thank you! I’ll share when I’m finished with the painting.
I’m so excited about my upcoming artist reception:

I’m so glad you’re back. Your work is a constant inspiration for me.
I do art shows with pretty niche work that doesn’t really make much money; only a small number of people connect with it. But honestly, I don’t make art for mass appeal or the money (although money is required to keep going). I do it because I love the conversations, the energy, the connection.
