This is the soft ball journalism Tapper lead CNN to the bottom of the ratings barrel. Standing up to that crap, Tapper cannot do. Last year I heard Karen Phinney tell Jim Acosta, who stood up hard, to calm down. CNN doesn't know how to do tough call them out journalism. Tapper mails it in.

The hypocrisy of even giving Trump any kind of credit for this, is appalling. He himself is an authoritarian already hinting at a third term, prosecuting political enemies, shutting down our government, illegal military moves, etc. This is the normalizing the media has come to be criticized for.

Every day we see commercials about mental illness and the importance of getting help for people. The mentally ill homeless are shunned by many. The mentally ill who turn to gun use are overlooked while people die. And now, government is run by a pack of completely insane people, Germany 2.0.

The GOP is the party of "the good old days." What they're against, is what keeps them from reviving and maintaining the old days they attach to their childhood memories of warm and fuzzy, or the magical wild west. Ignoring the reality of suffering. Lincoln to DEI represent loss of the old days.
