Thé « Russian speakers in Ukraine want to be in Ru» nonsense needs to stop. 11yrs of Ukrainian resistance to Ru across the linguistic spectrum has shown how twisted and wrong this narrative is. Witkoff needs to be removed from the Ru-Ukraine war diplomatic team.

Imho c’est un peu plus compliqué que cela et tant qu’on ne se posera pas les bonnes questions, ça se reproduira. Idem en France et ailleurs en Euroe. Combattre le populisme de droite et de gauche en se contentant de dire que l’électeur est bête, c’est un peu court, voire pire.

While watching an old newsreel about Lukashenko forbidding «не правильные СМИ», I realized that #правительство and #правильный have the same root. So a government’s role, in the Russian language, is to decide what is right and what is not? And “не правильное» is what goes against the government?
