-☄️𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝☄️-

Luckily Nintendo only has 4 games this year, so it'll be an easy one this time.
To Catch a Yeti - 2/10

They at least had some sort of vision despite their shoestring budget. You kind of have to respect that much.

Too bad what they ended up with was this horrifying sleep paralysis demon.
Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva - 8/10

They did a great job translating this universe into a movie. Seeing everyone (minus the fraud Descole) in a full film is awesome, and there's a lot of cool easter eggs here. Only having 4 puzzles is pussy shit though, these villains need to step it up.
Thunderbirds (2004) - 5/10

This is a good watch for people who can enjoy the charm of a Spy Kids movie. Very similar vibes with this being a lower-budget kids film that still has fun, quirky costume and set design. Though even then, it winds up to being just kind of okay.
Norm of the North - 0/10

Worthless.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - 7.5/10

A lot of the enhancements this adds to the series are great. The switch to 3D is a little jarring, but they do fairly well transitioning over. It's really cool. Just don't know if I needed a Zelda dungeon for a whole chapter.
Kung Fu Panda 4 - 5.5/10

This is a shonen filler arc. It's not terrible, but it definitely feels as though this was made just as a safety net in Dreamworks' release schedule. A shame since it has a lot of cool ideas, just sucky execution.

Hopefully, they'll have an actual plan for the next one.
Space Chimps (movie) - 1/10

This is so fucking ugly dude.
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone - 6/10

I will give props to this movie for not being a miserable experience despite most of the main cast being absolutely terrible people. It still has a good bit every so often. Ultimately though, it's just kind of fine. Jim Carrey crushed a puppy.
Violent Night - 0/10

Actually the worst Christmas film I've seen, including Hallmark ones.

It sure is an R-rated Christmas flick that directly says "this is just like this other famous Christmas movie" multiple times and can't do a good action scene to save its life.
Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild - 0.5/10

You know, I don't think I've seen Stuart Little 2 yet. I probably should at some point.
Professor Layton and the Last Specter - 5/10

Not just underwhelming after the peak that was Unwound Future, but outright just a wet noodle of a game. The puzzles were generally fun (which at least puts this above 2), but the story and mystery are bad enough that I felt genuinely offended at points.
City The Animation - 10/10

I've watched quite a few shows this season, but nothing has surprised me like this has. I only have to mention episodes 5 or 9 and people who've seen them will likely already understand.

Incredibly funny show with spectacular animation.

Seriously, give this a shot.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes - 7.5/10

Glad that we got a bit more of a mature story in this universe centered around the biggest dipshits imaginable. Them leaning harder into the comic book style does fit with the grittier tone, which I appreciate. The OP also FUCKS!!

Knuckleduster is my GOAT
My Hero Academia: You're Next - 7/10

Kind of odd for what could be the final movie, but it's not bad. Even if it maybe does drag a bit longer than needed. Though it is pretty entertaining hearing Chris Sabat taking the villain role after all this time.
My Hero Academia (s7) - 8.5/10

Finally seeing the culmination of everything that's been built up, all coming together, it's an incredible experience. The cutoff point here is a little mean, but it's understandable. It's ultimately more like the first half of the finale.
New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT - 9.5/10

Yup, they got it. They received their assignment and knew exactly how to deliver, taking what made the first season work and amped it by a million. With only one episode I'd really consider a dud too, which is immediately a better record than before.
My Hero Academia (s6) - 9/10

We're so fucking back.

Going from an incredible battle in the first half, with some damn impactful moments. To then the emotional height of the series so far in the second. Think this is some incredibly strong setup for the endgame here. Looking forward to the rest.
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 - 7/10

Did not expect this of all shows to lean this heavy into being comfortable with the kind of person you are and accepting others, but I love it.

Though at the same time, it's really running some of its tropes into the ground too much. It's kind of frustrating.
Dandadan Season 2 - 8.5/10

Wow, it's almost as if one more episode could've given s1 a better ending. Funny how that works.

This season was great though, the classical music episode was amazingly done. Still not a huge fan of the side cast, though Jiji did win me over a quite bit.
Sh! The Octopus - 9/10

Danganronpa 2x2 should take notes from the mystery here.
Sakamoto Days - 8/10

It's really fun... when it wants to be.

It holds my attention during more plot-heavy fights, but wavers more whenever people aren't up against the big bads. Characters can also be pretty hit or miss, though definitely a big fan of Osaragi. She's very quirky.
They Came Together - 7.5/10

This really goes for every romcom joke under the sun. Enjoyment of this is based on how much that sort of satire clicks with you, which for me, was very hit or miss. Some bits drag way longer or happen way more than they should, but you still get some real gems, too.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle - 9/10

What are we in some sort of... infinite castle?

Another wild ufotable animation flex. Treat this like a normal half season and you'll enjoy it. Also, Zenitsu basically made it through a part without looking pathetic, impressed.
My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission - 3/10

Worldwide religious cult that thinks quirks will trigger a doomsday. Given that in the first couple minutes, you kind of get what this movie's like.

The "World" part feels less like a fun gimmick and more like an excuse to focus on select characters.
My Hero Academia (s5) - 6/10

Some great character development, but a very weak season. Jumping from the school festival into more school training arcs was underwhelming, and the Liberation Army is just kinda lame.

But Bakugo DOES get a good episode early on, and Shigaraki's stuff is... intense.
