If you think that a camera facing forward on a bus is where the line is drawn you don’t understand the surveillance state.

There is no silver bullet that is effective for all traffic law enforcement. This one is very good for this specific task, not effective at other types of surveillance.

The camera is more efficient in that it deploys the enforcement when the obstruction impacts service. Hiring more revenue department staff would not ensure they’d be there when it matters for business operations. We should hire more of them to ticket many other unenforced static parking offenses.
