We mourn the loss of our friend, writer, and mentor Gurney Norman. His words, his spirit, and his deep love for these hills shaped how many of us see ourselves and our home.

Rest easy, Gurney. We miss you already.

Today we celebrate the incredible life of Loretta Lynn and still feel her loss.

Loretta was not only a prolific country music icon but a brilliant fighter for the rights of women and a beacon of hope for us all.
