The ultimate thread of 2025 black metal releases 🔥 🧵

I'll be posting black metal albums from this year that I liked. All above-average picks (purely based on personal taste)
Is this Roman Saenko’s definitive masterpiece?

If not, what’s your favorite?
Hey Lord Satanachia has put out a new album! Hailz!

I like my black metal raw but this album goes a bit too far: The music is pretty great but it seems to have been recorded with a cheap mic across a wall, especially the drums. 😂

Why would you do this to a perfectly fine symphonic BM album? What do you think?

I'm back! This weekly top listens should have come out on Thursday but life got in the way.

Black Metal for life! 💀🪦
Simpler than that: X is the place where people won’t shut the fuck up about Kaevum while in Bluesky no one has a clue of who the fuck Kaevum is.
Hey you! Come and admire my excellent taste in music, as showcased by all the fantastic albums I've deemed worthy of my precious attention and time this week. 🍷
Below-average melodic black metal but that green-tinted cover is a curious color pick for the genre.

Bloodthorn 🇳🇴 - In the Shadow of Your Black Wings (1997)

Musically or only the artwork?
What do y’all think about Mysticum? 👍 or 👎?
And on the topic of Moonspell, what a good use of his voice Fernando Ribeiro makes in Wolfheart (1995). Amazing how he manages to give so much personality to an otherwise pretty good gothic metal album.
Like the austrian Sachertorte, Summoning 🇦🇹 perfected the art of layering rhythms and melodies to create atmospheres not made of sweet chocolate but of bitter yearning and doom in their middle-earth inspired music.

Stronghold (1999) is a masterpiece.

Under the Moonspell / Wolfheart and Vempire by CoF
Never forget how cool Moonspell's first demo Anno Satanæ (1993) sounds. It's blissful to listen to such ingenuous, intense and energetic music. 🇵🇹

Good morning to everyone except those who don’t like Unholy Craft.
All of them are special in one way or another, I’ve listened to a lot of new stuff and most of it wasn’t worthy of being added to the list
My TOP 20 Icelandic Black Metal 🌋🇮🇸❄️🔥

Some serious bangers from a country of just 300k people.

Did I miss any of your favorites?
