But since Tomino’s involvement in L-Gaim dwindled by the time of the 2nd half (to work on Zeta’s production), Nagano’s ideas were implemented more and more throughout the rest of its run.

It’s probably why L-Gaim's 2nd half was as strong as it was for me. And I hope you have a great time with it!

Nagano was the one who created the lore for L-Gaim (which was basically a prototype for the Five Star Stories) and all the mecha/character designs, but Nagano’s push for L-Gaim to be more lore-heavy was shot down by Tomino, who aimed for the show to be a filler show between Dunbine and Zeta.

I like to attribute it to Nagano’s influence on L-Gaim’s production.

He and Tomino have pretty adjacent views on gender roles, but I genuinely think that L-Gaim was a better attempt at handling it than Zeta was (keep in mind that Zeta is my favorite Gundam series).
