Yes, I had never seen so many together in one place! It was a remarkable experience!
No, they kept their distance, which I was fine with!
Yay!!!!!! Celebrating with you!!
Just a couple of shots to give a sense of what it was like swimming into the thermocline. Everything looks a bit rippled. You can see this by looking at the edge of the shark's body - it's especially clear on the top front portion of the shark in the left photo. #MarineLife #scuba
I won't lie - I was a bit nervous when we went down to see the bull sharks, but my curiosity won out! A little fear is healthy, but it's worth it to see the amazing underwater creatures. I'm glad that you enjoy the photos and videos! I enjoy going through them and reliving the experiences at home.
After seeing the bullsharks, the whitetips seemed pretty tame. We kept our distance, and they basically ignored us, but they were still cool to see.
Into the thermocline with some whitetip sharks. This trip was my first real thermocline experience, and it was wild to be able to see the water change. I felt like I was entering a portal into a different reality. #MarineLife #scuba #sharks

At least they’re cute! This one I’m afraid is going to lose its home soon. They’re developing the area into some sort of business hub.

Glad to see some turtle love. Not sure they look incredibly happy, but hopefully it'll be a fruitful turtle season in Costa Rica! #MarineLife #Turtles #photography
Yes! There were a lot of them out this weekend.

Masters of disguise. A juvenile scorpionfish hiding in plain sight on the bottom of the sea in Costa Rica. #MarineLife #scuba #photography
It was super exciting to see! Someone with better eyes than me spotted it on the last dive of our trip. It was especially nice because the dive shop said they hadn't seen any in a while, and this was a new one to them.
You have no idea how excited I was! I've only ever seen 4 in the wild.

When you're diving and you don't know where to look because there are so many eagle rays! #MarineLife #scuba
The ocean floor in Costa Rica is more rocky than what I usually see in the Caribbean, but there were quite a few beautiful corals with vibrant colors and intricately shaped polyps that the macro lens helps reveal. #MarineLife #scuba #photography
These beauties were not very cooperative models, but you can catch a glimpse here of their striking colors. Juvenile King Angelfish in Costa Rica. #MarineLife #scuba #photography
This youngster hesitantly peered out at the world beyond its tiny cave before testing out its wings. They work and even seem to glow! #birds #photography #Brooklyn
