I like this idea. Sweeney Todd is probably the “poster child” for Horror musicals. Part of the problem is the commercial appeal of such a property. Even Sweeney has several jokes thrown throughout it which one could argue breaks from the “horror” tone.

Also look at Jekyll and Hyde.

But I do wish horror was a more popular musical genre. I do want a Hellraiser themed musical and a Whatever Happened to Baby Jane musical (I’ve heard there have been regional productions of one).

Horror is a rare musical genre. But some that I know of are:

Sweeney Tood
Carrie (a very notorious bomb).

Although I wouldn’t call The Phantom of the Opera a “horror” musical, it could be argued it has dark elements.

A friend and me came up with the idea of shifting Sweeney Todd to a Caribbean themed resort 😂. Mrs Lovett makes the “worst cocktails on the beach”, Sweeney is a really “good” massage therapist. 😂

Hellraiser as a musical 😊

The only thing this is missing is an “image” of either Sweeney/Sondheim innocently smiling with determination 😂

That was aired a while ago…and from what I recall….woof 😂

Boring is worse 😂. You have to work up the anger the movie doesn’t naturally give you 😂😁

I’m not super looking forward to it. If it wasn’t for all the controversy, I’d feel more prepared to just skip it.

I am curious how the final Oscar votes will come out as it pertains to this movie (not that they release the totals), but if their front runner status gets derailed.

So to be fair, my background is more in the radiation belts. But from my understanding, the “short” reason is that it’s a side effect of the dayside compression of the magnetosphere along with magnetic reconnection.

This is actually what I work on for my day job 😊.

It’s a highly integrated system that we take for granted, especially given how dependent we are on technology.
