The Burial Ground

#otd in 2022 I was wandering around an old burial ground by the edge of an ocean, visualising poetry about this place by @steveeely.bsky.social. This led to exhibitions and a quite unique book.

1776: Swallows withdrew at Lyndon in Rutland. Some swallows remain at Faringdon: in appearance a young brood not long flown: they were very brisk. Bat out.

1776: The hanging beech-woods begin to be beautifully tinged, & to afford most lovely scapes, very engaging to the eye, & imagination. They afford sweet lights & shades. Maples are also finely tinged. These scenes are worthy the pencil of a Reubens.

Cyanotype print of a jackdaw on a hawthorn tree. From my Jackdaw series 💙
A cyanotype print of a jackdaw on a hawthorn tree. The image is blue but the branches are black as is the jackdaw in the centre of the image. The tree has white blossom on it.

I'm giving away this signed 1st edition h/b of my new novel (it has a tiny jacket rip which means I wouldn't sell it) to one person who reposts this.

You might like it if you like:
Folkloric creatures
Old records
Intricate psychedelic stories
The idea of circular time

All shares much-appreciated.
