i can tell how much i detest having to write/argue on behalf of the entitled shit by how much chocolate i've eaten while working on the class assignment.

methinks my product (and ex-editor) is coming out when i skip the "headnotes" and want to read the judge's opinions, the plaintiff/defendant filings, etc.

am not interested in reading someone else's edit/curation of a case. i want to read what the players have actually written/filed.

when a judge beings their opinion of an appeal with "we review the facts in the light most favorable to [insert name], the nonmoving party"....seems to be judge speak equiv of the midwestern doublespeak "bless your heart".

both mean exactly the opposite.

how does my product person response differ?

future lawyers are like "billable hours"

for a class, am reminded that i am a product person rather than a future lawyer as my inside voice says "the entitled little shit is wasting everyone's time, money, & resources w/their stunts & i'd box them in for the benefit of the team"

rather than argue their points & create overhead.

my prior graduate degree, the gpa really did matter because it was tied to my scholarship. it was also a different type of degree that i pursued for different reasons. that grad degree was more like a certification of existing experience/knowledge.
