I love the girlscouts, but especially my daughter's troop. The girls, the parents, and especially the leaders. They are amazing humans and I am so glad my daughter is learning from them how to be a leader in your community

Yesterday, one of my daughters troop leaders called me about logistics for the weekend. Then she said "I found a protest 12 minutes from where we're camping." Some of the chaperones will stay with the kids, and the others will duck out for two hours to go protest.

Months ago my daughter's girl scout troop planned a family camping trip for October 18th. Commitments were made, deposits paid. But I worried, this is going to be the biggest protest in American history and I'm going to miss it. As the atrocities worsen every day, how can I stay silent?
