There was no one who could create a more eye-catching poster than Drew Struzan. So many famous films owe a lot to them thanks to his beautiful posters. I'm very sad to hear that he passed this morning.

I just saw 100 Meters and I really, really loved this film. It’s a fantastic film focusing on why athletes race with really fantastic depth of character and some dazzling visuals and a killer soundtrack. Definitely had a fun time with this one.

To me, a live action remake of an animated film is the equivalent of a photographic recreation of an impressionist painting. Not only is it pointless, it fails to understand the artistic value of the original intention. All they are is unnecessary and a waste of time and money.

The creators of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ have dismissed the idea of making a live-action adaptation:

“It’s really hard to imagine these characters in a live-action world. It would feel too grounded. So totally it wouldn’t work for me.”

I'm well aware of Elio's flaws, but man I cannot bring myself to ever think this film is bad. I still think it's great because the way it's executed is still just so lovely. Even rewatching it, I still find myself falling in love with all over again.

Same. It's so much fun to delve into something that's really bad just to learn what went wrong with it. Bad movies are just so fun to investigate for how awful they can get. My friends and I have been having Bad Movie Nights for a while and it's one of my favorite things to do.

I'm absolutely shocked and sad to hear about Diane Keaton passing today at 79. She was such a lovely and incredible actress being in so many classic films like The Godfather and Reds and many more while also doing some voicework in Finding Dory and Green Eggs and Ham. I'm so sad.

Guillermo del Toro and Netflix have announced plans to form a new stop motion studio that will be both a studio and a school to push the medium forward and will develop plans to make Del Toro's next stop motion project after Pinocchio. I'm very hyped to see what this leads to!

Winnie the Pooh (2011) is still such a charming little film. I still maintain it's probably the most underrated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Also, its hand-drawn animation is simply fabulous.

Have some concept art from Coraline drawn by Tadahiro Uesugi. I love that despite how colorful some of these are, you still get the eerie feelings looking at them knowing just how twisted the Other Mother's world is.

The new Mutant Mayhem short looks pretty hilarious and I still love how fun these incarnations of the turtles are. If anything, it makes me curious to see them back in the sequel in a few years. Eager to see this short once it's out.

Twenty years ago today, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was officially released. The first feature film to feature the famous duo, this horror parody is a hilarious time with a creative story, some fantastic stop motion, and a whole plethora of fun characters.

Also, knowing it's made at Annapurna Animation gives me confidence that Sugar is gonna have 100% creative control over it. So I really can imagine this is gonna be a special film.

Annapurna Animation has announced they are making an animated film based on the Moomins that will be written and directed by Rebecca Sugar. Already, hearing that the studio that saved Nimona is teaming up with the creator of Steven Universe is enough to make me super hyped!

One animated film that has really grown on me since I first saw it is easily Luca. I really adore just how simple yet pure it is. Films that are just comforting and give out good vibes are films we need more of. I hope Pixar can do more like this.
