Sounds an excellent alternative. Went to a wedding at the Sq & Q, landlord Charlie playing a concertina long into the night, hundreds of fresh oysters and bride and groom walking up the cliff path to the pub from swanage registry with a barrel of beer in a wheelbarrow accompanied by musicians.

It’s odd isn’t it. It started out like the rest of them which are all about 1 mtr but it didn’t flower at the same time and just grew and grew! I’ll be interested to see if some of the other buds open before the frost.

This rather outlandish Cosmos in the garden has a top flower that is over 1.8 mtrs tall. The plant is branching in all directions like a Christmas tree and each branch has dozens of buds. Is this unusual????
