He’s a handsome fella. One day… One day.
A Black-necked Grebe is showing well from Blagdon lodge
The Ring-necked Duck is still at Decoy, Shapwick this pm
Wood and Curlew Sands, and the 2 L Stints at Cheddar still
A drake Ring-necked Duck was at Decoy, Shapwick today, per Charlie Wootton who took nice photos
Yellow-browed and Sibe Chiff at Deerness today in the quarry garden
The reporting is even worse than I thought - I can’t find any areas in the Broads where the water quality failures are caused by storm overflows. I might be wrong but I don’t think so…
Staggeringly, this excerpt is taken from the actual report itself - completely disingenuous headlining
Red-necked Phal still, Easington lagoons, and a Garganey on Beacon Pond @birdguides.bsky.social
Grey Phal on the mud now from Stert Pt hide, Somerset @birdguides.bsky.social
Red-necked Phal with 2 Greys still at Cheddar, rather good 👌, and the former a super find for @glastobirder.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social
Juv Red-crested Pochard at Cheddar Res dabbling with Mallard and Gadwall off the cormorant roost spit this afternoon. Curlew Sand up to 16 and Little Stint to 3.
A minimum of 4 Little Stint and 12 Curlew Sand at Wall Common, Steart on the dropping tide today @birdguides.bsky.social
Yesterday’s juv Grey Phalarope at Steart was super, in amongst the Dunlin and R Plovers on the tidal mud flat, and down to 10m for a good while. The small wader numbers were impressive, and I didn’t get close to checking them all. Best I could pick out were 1 juv Curlew Sand and 2 juv Little Stint.

Sensational views of Sabine’s Gull during today’s Scilly Birder Special Pelagic.
Buff-breast still, Knot and Sanderling at Nunnery, Chew. @bri-thompson.bsky.social keeps up his finding streak! I think we can call it - Chew’s having a good year.
