This morning in my hotel, the Dining Room Host asked me if I’d ever had breakfast before.
Couldn’t work out if it was a deliberate “ice-breaker” or just said automaton fashion; I was too slow to come up with an amusing reply and just gave him my room number even though he wasn’t really my type.
