It’s not even choking.

You’re up against the best team money can buy who rolled through last and this playoffs against whoever they faced and they pushed them to extra innings in game 7 with two hobbled starters & a bunch of guys who started in the minors.

They deserve all the respect.
I appreciate they have a different lived experience, but…

The Dodgers are a ridiculously stacked, wealthy team that doesn’t reflect much about LA’s challenges.

No city “deserves” a sports trophy no matter how unjust or traumatic their politics.

I cheer for the Jays team, not Toronto the city.
Los Angeles suffered tremendously because of the wildfires. The president of the United States has wanted to make the immigrants who make the city suffer and declared war on the city. But all throughout it, L.A. makes it work daily. It’s a place where people go to make it. LA deserves this.

Dodgers win it in 11 innings of game 7 against a team they expected to humiliate and take in 4. #WellDoneBlueJays you'll always be my champions!!!
I was thinking the same thing.

Did they win the World Series? No.

But they didn’t lose. Dodgers won based on two (of four) extra-inning wins, both of which could have gone either way.

If LA didn’t have Yamamoto, things would have been much different.

Jays are still champions.
I think we should have a parade for the blue jays. Look what they did for all of us. ❤️

i'd like to think Mr. Candy approved this spot.
it is halloween so who knooooows?
Blue Jays have the chance to win the World Series on what would have been John Candy's 75th birthday.
Make it happen.

Could this be the last night for Rockin’ Rick?

He’s been jamming out and hyping up Jays fans since 1989 and is hanging up his drum sticks this year.

He was here in ‘92 and ‘93 — another World Series tonight?

A tricker-or-treater, maybe 7, at the door just now: “If you go to our house there is a little baseball game going on!”

Yep, here too, kid. Here too.
But do you really have all 50 left for that one lucky kid? 🎃 Those are just way too snackable.

A scoop that I’m not happy to report:

CBS News has gutted its climate change reporting team, one of the best in the business, and one of the only ones on cable news that consistently called out fossil fuels as the main source of climate pollution.

Almost 40% of CPC voters polled see Trump in tariff negotiations as "methodical & strategic" as opposed to "irrational & erratic". In contrast, 5% of both Liberal & NDP voters think Trump's "methodical & strategic" in his negotiations. So a big group of Canadians don't have Trump's number. #CdnPoli

This looks like a concentration camp.
Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.

If you looked at Trey Yesavage's repertoire in a 3D tunnel, you wouldn't even know he was right-handed.

His splitter goes *the wrong way*. It's like a throwback to screwballs before they stopped teaching kids screwballs in the 90s because it was melting their ligaments
What does “on an equal basis” mean? Equal to China?

11 Ks for Trey Yesavage ties his own #Bluejays record for most strikeouts in a post-season start. He did that in his playoff debut vs. NYY in the ALDS.

it also ties Don Newcombe of the Brooklyn Dodgers for the most Ks by a rookie in a World Series game. This is wild.

That was the first time in World Series history that two players have hit back-to-back home runs to start a game.
Okay Blue Jays, play a good clean game!

Okay, Rogers, play a good clean stream!

(With my $30/mo SportsNet+ subscription renewing today, this game is costing me either $15 or $10.)

Should be wearing a Greinke jersey as a show of solidarity between guys who got a 9-figure deal in LA after abandoning the Royals
I’ve got serious constitutional questions now
