The end of E.T. will never not make me weep. man. my 3yo daughter is obsessed with the movie and every time we watch the end I'm just a total wreck.

would have been really fun to be here for a cubs/dodgers series. ah well. great team, felt even more confident in the playoffs than the 2014-16 cubs for some reason. next year

Pope Leo XIV has blasted how wealthy people live in a “bubble of comfort and luxury” while the poor suffer. In his first teaching document Thursday, Leo confirms that he is in perfect lockstep with Pope Francis on matters of social injustice.

definitely. i think that's more of what i mean. i always have a few left over from the previous album which usually starts the process. then i know where I'm going. but i don't have any left over so i'm going song by song. but i kind of love the idea of writing and recording it and then moving on...

i figure this is very standard for most people, yeah. i just spent all of my 20s and half of my 30s writing songs, most of which were never recorded. I should say most fur trader albums are new songs with 2 or so old ones. but the old ones always set the mood and now it's all unknown territory

I'm in a songwriting zone i haven't ever been-which is-writing as I'm recording an album. until now most of the songs i've recorded were written already, and the process of recording was just documenting them. I've run out of songs. so now when I finish a song, I have to write another.
