I don’t know that Render96 is trying to go for a straight remaster of the original game though
This model is awesome, and it’s specifically trying to be like the ingame model and not what Bowser looked like in the artworks, so I feel like it’s kind of an apples to oranges comparison

This model was made to match Mario’s final Mario 64 design, as opposed to the design Luigi has in other games of the era.

That said, both this and a faithful version of Luigi will be available for download on release day! :)

Sunshine
Despite the flack it gets I really think it’s one of the greats of 3D Mario. It’s got bad moments but the good vastly outweighs the bad for me/ gorgeous world design, fun levels, great character interactions- I think new 3D Mario’s could take more inspiration from this one :)
