I mean, not *funny*. Good Lord, nothing about this is funny. But he'd be an unexpected source.
I thought this, too. Someone in another thread mentioned that the files might have been stored in the east wing. That was quickly followed by an Atlantic article investigating the disappearance of the east wing's rubble, which the author never found. 😠

SNAP benefits will be gone, small businesses will suffer, insurance premiums will double, air traffic will be delayed/halted: All of these things are happening because when the gov't shutdown ends, the Epstein Files get released.

Earlier this year, I met a Croatian journalist who was in the US doing a piece on America’s politics and I asked her what surprised her. And she said, “What you all call the far left is just being normal.”
Aw, c'mon. They're not stupid, they just didn't have access to civics classes in school. Let's stop bashing each other for not knowing every single knowable thing about being a human.

While throwing Great Gatsby parties for the billionaires and building a Marie Antoinette Ballroom the size of nearly two football fields, Trump steers his bulldozer at American families on SNAP benefits trying to eat in his Hunger Games economy.
Does this make him Trump's impotent little Johnson?

Feel like some reporter should ask, "sir, how is it that you believe you can competently do your job when you repeatedly fail to hear, read, or see major political events that everybody's least media literate facebook uncle knows about?"

This is a classic form of voter intimidation—making people feel like it’s not safe to go to the polls. It moments like this where we need to summon our courage & vote anyhow. Vote in the tradition of the people who marched in Selma to secure the right to vote.
Breaking from NJ AG Platkin:

"Early this morning, law enforcement responded to threats that were received by email involving certain polling places in Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic Counties. Law enforcement … have worked swiftly to secure these polling locations."

Tyranny doesn’t steal power all at once. It starves it, vote by vote, truth by truth, until silence feels normal. Today, we still have a voice. Use it before legitimate elections become a memory whispered about in the dark. #Vote

Attn Pennsylvania voters: A massive wave of texts is being sent from random numbers telling Democrats and Independents to vote “No” on the Supreme Court retention questions. These messages are fake and misleading, part of a coordinated disinformation push.

If nothing else, the last nine months should have made it clear that elections matter. But what’s remarkable about America is that we have the power, as citizens, to change this country by voting. Go to IWillVote.com.

Oh, look. Another right-wing billionaire. 🙄
The biggest choice on today's ballots in PA is whether to retain 3 Democratic supreme court justices. The push to remake the court has been driven by billionaire Jeff Yass.

In 2022, @propublica.org detailed how Yass had avoided paying $1B in taxes and funneled that money to right-wing causes:
Meet the Billionaire and Rising GOP Mega-Donor Who’s Gaming the Tax System
Susquehanna founder and TikTok investor Jeff Yass has avoided $1 billion in taxes while largely escaping public scrutiny. He’s now pouring his money into campaigns to cut taxes and support election de...
