Hack now flack. Cyber & tech policy at Glen Echo Group WSJ, Politico, Austin American-Statesman & Tampa Bay Times alum Hoosier & Hoya

Got this in the mail today. It's addressed to my dad, who died 18 years ago and never lived at my current address. I don't know what the "Young Scholars National Honor Society" is, but I imagine it's a scam. This is really messed up.

At CTA’s Innovation House for a Trade Week event and obsessed with their new swag. 😂
No surprise but CTA’s Gary Shapiro kicks off the annual Digital Patriots Dinner with a speech about tariffs and how they’ll hurt everyone.
Is it just me, or do morning newsletters keep getting longer and longer? I can't seem to get thru any of them in Gmail anymore without the message getting clipped. It's driving me insane. Brevity in the morning is a good thing.
We're only a week away from State of the Net and the conference agenda is here: sotn25.sched.com Let's hope the weather stays clear! 🤞☃️ #SOTN #SOTN2025

You may be asking, how can all these great people be speaking at Common Good Cyber? It's because resourcing the people who protect the Common Good on the Internet is a big problem, one people like Megan Stifel want to solve. Register for the workshop here commongoodcyber.org/events/
Only a few weeks out from State of the Net and excited for the announced panels on the FCC, kids privacy, AI and more. Registration info is here: 7x22.short.gy/sotn2024tick... #sotn24
This is not the news I wanted to wake up to this a.m. and I can't believe the WaPo did something so stupid as to drop a newsletter so many in the cyber community cared about. 😡
Sad but true: This is the last Cybersecurity 202 ever. It's been an honor to helm it for the past year and a half. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
I am in denial. WaPo leadership has made a lot of stupid moves over the past few years, but dropping policy newsletters like the Cyber 202, which our community depends on, is really next level. Thanks for your service, Tim, you deserved better. 😔 🤬
We've been honored to work with Justin and TPP since he started it a few years ago. It's truly a wonderful resource for the tech policy community. You should follow them!
Over on Twitter, Tech Policy Press (@techpolicypress.bsky.social) had accrued close to 7,000 followers in its short life. We've decided to no longer post there. Can you help us build our presence here? Please follow/share, and visit the site to sign up for the newsletter: techpolicy.press

I’d like to say this gets better but nah. My list had Blackpink and Katy Perry dominating thanks to my preteen. 🫠
We help out with State of the Net and this year, they're introducing a new salon & lightning talk feature for the Feb. 12 event. Folks interested in giving a shorter talk or hosting a salon should check it out here. Submission deadline is Dec. 8: www.stateofthenet.org/sotn-24/ligh...
Beyond excited Rachel Wolbers will be joining our team at Glen Echo Group. She's a former client (from her Engine days) and I'm so happy she's back from doing smarty-pants things in NZ. 🥳 www.glenechogroup.com/press-releas...
