It's the last day of the year somewhere and all the big shows are finished for the year, so a few hours early won't hurt!

Triangle match is hilarious. Like over half the match is a giant crowd brawl. So worth it though for the final minute of the Gianni Vallettamaniacs going absolutely bonkers

They did all the references you'd want. Kikuta hit him with the D3 so Susumu just nuked him with every PARADOX finisher (that was GREAT). Lariat off was expected. Trying to neutralise the Jumbo was expected. For a match that had no build though, they got the crowd going by the end.

Yeah ICL I liked that quite a bit. The start was a bit slow, but it wasn't like egregiously slow. If Kikuta's gonna do the heat segments, he just gotta bring in that intensity he has in the tags. IDK why it's missing in the big matches.

That being said though, really liked the story of the match

I actually will give that an rewatch on its own in a bit, since I liked the direction they went with there. Maybe the start just felt longer than it actually was? Susumu's not traditionally my favourite Dream guy though so that might be my 2nd fave performance of his after the KAI match

The good thing is that he does have a version that I really like, which is just being a freight train, and he's that in basically every other match apart from the title matches as a heel. If I didn't think he was being pushed for other things, I'd run him vs Homare for the belt in Korakuen

Yeah I'm deffo gonna rewatch because the finishing was hotter than I thought it was gonna be. Completely forgot Kikuta inherited the D3 since he doesn't use it too much atm so him getting that out was a nice surprise (& fitting).

He just struggles to fill the time in singles I think.

I like the direction they went with a lot though. It doesn't have the heat to it to really work as well as it could, but Susumu playing the crafty vet is good. Should finish the match on the D3 just to add insult to injury

I need Kikuta to like forget heat segments exist. He's not a guy I find particularly interesting when he's in control and has to fill the time. When he's just running around like a freight train I love him

Nah not at all. Like I think the bit’s getting a tad old with me, but like you could take the puppet/ventriloquism bit, put it on a DDT undercard, a Stardom show, a DG Prime Zone, it’ll land somewhere else. Everyone does bits. Even NJPW has Yano lmao
