I'm in the middle of writing my two year review materials and keep having to go back because I forgot to talk about things for this exact reason.

Somehow today, two emails based on review writing. One saying they liked one review and another one asking me to review a forthcoming book from a poet I adore. Sadly turned down as I'm turning down all such requests, but I guess I'm glad people think I'm good at a thing I never wanted to be good at.

Myers was right to say that cw programs democratized literary production, making it more accessible. The Gioia's of the world who say the program era homogenized lit production want to maintain hierarchies.

My thing is that I know if I left social media altogether, I'd be a happier person— but then how would I sell you what will no doubt be my next poetry book or my soon to be scholarly book? We suffer for hustle culture because the alternative has yet to present itself.
