It will cost Americans more for cars now. And the huge sale of American-built cars in Canada will end. We'll make our own cars and import the rest from around the world, including China. We won't buy cars from fascist Trumpland. You guys need to get rid of the idiot who thinks "trade" is one-way.

Trump is a rich crook. He doesn't give a shit if ordinary Americans have to pay extra for imports from Canada because an ad caused him to have a tantrum. When Trump first saw the ad, he said that if he was Canadian, he would post such an ad. But a few days later, he had a shit fit over the ad. Baby!

You'll also lose potential exports and the jobs that go with them. Few Canadians are willing to travel to Trump's US and most of us now buy only Canadian goods or substitutes from anywhere but the US when that's not possible. Europeans are doing much the same. You need to get rid of asshole Trump.

But in Trump's America, you are only allowed to quote people saying things the king believes. The infant-in-chief, who actually has no right to be stealing Congress's right to set tariff rates, gets away with it because the Congress is filled with cowards who betray their country for personal gain.

That's because in a functioning democracy, one man (in this case, a demented mafioso) doesn't rule. Elected assemblies representing the entire nation do that and everyone makes compromises. The US is sick as fuck if it can't respond to this infant-in-chief by putting him in long-term care.

Absolutely. The shithead who Americans seem to be allowing to have one-man rule has an IQ of about 80 and the emotional IQ of the average 2-year-old. And he's demented on top of everything. If he can't remember that Ronald Reagan was mostly a free trader, then what does he remember?

How "woke" of you!!! Anything that Donald Trump doesn't believe is woke and a lie, from his point of view. It's a sign that he is not only a liar but demented if he doesn't remember that Ronnie Reagan was mostly anti-tariff. It was Reagan who pushed for free trade between the US and Canada.

American democracy was partial even before Trump. In the name of "democracy" the US overthrew elected governments in Iran and Latin America during the Cold War while supporting S. African apartheid. Trump is American elites doing to Americans what they earlier reserved for the rest of the world.

Today your asshole president, the "infant in chief," as a newspaper columnist described him, raised tariffs on Canadian goods by 10% in response to Ford not pulling the ad fast enough!!! All we Canadians can do is continue, till Trump disappears, to not spend one cent on American goods or travel.

All those who follow the money understand that "private sources" don't voluntarily fund public expenditures, particularly for a guy who acts as if he is the whole government, without expecting many billions of taxpayer dollars in return. Trump is a mafia boss and he'll rewards his ass-lickers.

Trump is getting away with murder and with amassing personal wealth by publicly taking bribes because he has persuaded a significant element of Americans that their financial problems are the result of illegal immigrants. In fact their problems are the bloated elites who are in league with Trump.

Trump is talking garbage. Apparently our federal government is being tougher with him than other countries on tariffs. So this tantrum about a trifle is meant to pressure our gov't to destroy our auto industry. If that happens, we'll either set up a public auto company or all buy European cars.

But when a Canadian premier advertised on right-wing US media against tariffs with quotes from Ronald Reagan, Mr. Free Speech cancelled discussions with Canada re tariffs. So that premier pulled the ads. Trump ONLY defends free speech for bigots.

And he's happy to take bribes from donors seeking favours from the president in return for massaging his sick ego.
