People complaining about Socialism always use Capitalism as the example.
I’m guessing incomers can “afford” to live in the islands, arriving with (more) financial security, whereas kids that are born and grow up in the islands are more likely to leave, in search of that financial security, which cannot realistically be attained on the island. (Simplistically).

Did you know? The latest GERS report on Scotland's public sector funding omits the £755m raised by ScotWind in the latest offshore wind options sale. This goes to our Government.

Why? Because Westminster hasn't assimilated it into its UK-wide figures.

Another reason to ignore GERS misinformation.

Is this based on real experience, like the break up of the USSR? Or is it (Unionist) scaremongering, turning things ordinary people do not understand into insurmountable obstacles?

We can do whatever we need to do, to be successful as an Independent nation.

Partly because so many formerly leftwing parties have turned to the right, there's a lot of confusion about what right and left mean in politics. I hope this helps:

The right defends economic power.

The left resists economic power.

Hi I’d like to make a programming suggestion for NYC’s msm:

Investors who took out bank loans to buy rent regulated properties with a business model of evictions followed by big rent hikes to make money are not ViCTimS.

Who says there IS meaning in life?

Simple observation suggests the exact opposite…

Amazon just announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Also , in their discussions of Sarah Pochin’s racism UK 🇬🇧 media seems only capable of talking to other racist MPs for their enlightened views 🙄. How truly pathetic that most of the msm’s discussions on race & racism are now framed by racists .

Uk 🇬🇧 media is relieved . it’s been able to do endless in-depth coverage of Reform MP Pochin’s obscene racism & her inane apology which like most of their reporting is a slimy defence of her racism . It means they continue ignoring Russian links to Reform & the great white hope’s loss in

Yes. But the reality is that this WILL be enough to give them an overall majority. Tactical voting is a stop-gap solution to a broken democracy, and is not sustainable.

Somebody has to give us something to vote FOR. (Rather than against).

We also need to move to PR.
Doesn’t matter with FPTP.

“Winner” takes all in Britains archaic system of democracy.

Anyone dismissing this poll is conceding the election to Reform.
Next years Holyrood election is Scotlands last chance…
🚨 Breaking 🚨

New YouGov poll has just dropped.

• 🟪Reform 27%
• 🟦Tory 17%
• 🟥Labour 17%
• 🟩Green 16%
• 🟨Lib Dem 15%

The Green Party’s highest ever score
The Tories solution to every problem was to distribute vast quantities of public money to their pals…
We should not forget the £108 million in contracts awarded (without tendering!) by the last tory govt, to counteract Brexit delays at ports. It was not just PPE contracts they awarded their chums there were many others.

Westminster did exactly the same with the EU grants for farmers some years back. Money meant for hard up hill farmers was given to Englands millionaire farmers…

Firms still pay dividends, mega exec pay

Fines have been virtually abolished. Amounts handed back to firms for environmental improvements. They displace investment, improve balance sheet.
