Pleased to collaborate with Bruce McCandliss, Carol Chan & George Augustine reviewing the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC) at the National Institute of Education, Singapore www.ntu.edu.sg/nie/science-...

Had a great meeting at the Singapore Ministry of Education today with the team that oversee education research, including Dr Teh Laik Woon. Advancing the Science of Learning in Singapore

After a hard days work, a lovely dinner with colleagues. Pleased to participate in the review of the Science of Learning in Education Centre, a research centre within the National Institute of Education in Singapore.

The research I presented is a collective effort with my close collaborators and distinguished researchers Dr Francisco Duran del Fierro, Prof Eileen Kennedy, Dr Louise Chisholm from ICL and Dr Koula Charitinos from the OpenUniversity.

Honoured to be invited to present an open seminar at the National Institute of Education Singapore, as DrRuth Wong Visiting Professor. I discussed social & cultural barriers faced by professionals as they use data and digital technologies, reflecting on implications for teachers.

Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. I’ve seen many photos of the gardens but they have to be seen (in person) to be believed. Absolutely stunning.

No Parkrun today. Instead a fantastic day cycling and hiking around Pulau Ubin island which is part of Singapore.

Thanks to everyone - around 100 people - who joined my online seminar today as part of my Ruth Wong Visiting Professorship at the National Institute of education, Singapore. "Being a Teacher Leader in the Age of AI'.

Pleased to have lunch with senior leaders from the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University Singapore today to discuss digital technology and AI in education.

Today, as part of my Ruth Wong Visiting Professorship, I had a wonderful conversation with Heads of Departments from across the National Institute of Education at NTU, Singapore. We discussed issues related to data, technology, neuroscience, knowledge, interdisciplinary & AI in Education

Over the next two weeks I’ll be in Singapore at the National Institute of Education NIE as the Dr Ruth Wong Visiting Professor. Ruth Wong was a passionate educationalist and pioneer. I am honoured to hold a visiting professorship I’m her name.

Today's UCL Knowledge Lab seminar was a fascinating presentation from Ginevra Castellano, Uppsala Social Robotics Lab, on Human-Cenric Robots and the ways children - and adults- can misplace trust in technology.

MK #Parkrun was splendid today

Welcome to the UK. And what a great choice of location.

View from the summit of Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh today.

Delighted to be at the UK National Federated Compute Service Autumn meeting at Edinburgh University launched by Jon Hayes. Today Francisco Duran del Fierro and I will outline our research on Inclusive Futures: Cultural narratives & mapping pathways for NFCS

Our research has been saying for decades that ‘learning how to learn’ is a critical skill for professionals dealing with digitalisation. I’m pleased to see that Demis Hassabis now agrees www.independent.co.uk/tech/demis-h...
