It is disgusting that Republicans CHOSE to let SNAP benefits run out today—letting millions of kids and families go hungry for political leverage.  The courts have made it clear that USDA must fund SNAP for November.

BREAKING: Senate GOP just BLOCKED Democrats' straightforward bill to pay our troops.

If Republicans still refuse to work with Democrats to reopen the government and prevent health care costs from skyrocketing, they should at the very least be able to work with us to make sure our troops get paid.

The Republican Senate Majority Leader chose to send the Senate HOME rather than hold a vote to fund SNAP.

He will force a vote 13 times on a bill he knows won't pass rather than vote ONE time on a bill to fund SNAP we KNOW would pass.

Shameful.

The temporal artery ultrasound wins as the next step in GCA diagnosis. However, it very much depends on the person wielding the ultrasound probe!

Reflecting on our own Fast Track Clinic mimics: we have seen a brain abscess, syphilis, glaucoma, zoster and intravascular lymphoma to name a few.
Fair point: we discussed a case of microscopic polyangiitis misdiagnosed as GCA.
Starting off against ultrasound for GcA diagnosis by showing what we agree on. #ACR25
Another of our papers in the Great Debate! #ACR25
Dr Schmidt’s closing argument: ultrasound is FUN!
Our paper made it into the Great Debate! 🎉
87% continue steroids despite a negative temporal artery biopsy anyway 😳
59% of the audience already wants to do a temporal and axillary ultrasound for GCA diagnosis over clinical diagnosis, biopsy or other imaging studies!
Dr Schmidt says TAB is not a biopsy!! It’s removal of part of the artery!
