The fact is, atrocities are a priority irrespective of the resistance. However, the resistance, in any form, is its ultimate counter force. Without the later, human existence is none, but slave, coward and lifeless.

In a colonized region, the law, like the oppressed, is traumatized and paralyzed too. Anees Baloch of Khuzdar is a victim of unconstitutional state’s institutional practice. Coercion is the prime practice to forcefully convict the alleged, innocent Baloch.

Instead of white-coat walking doctors, the black-coat walking police have seized the educational institute – Bolan Medical College (BMC)– against which students have organized a protesting sit-in in the college for the last 19 days. This is Balochistan.

As December arrives, we become opportunists to post on you and tell how your departure has turned us to mourning. But hopefully, we, as a nation, will collectively focus on the guidance you rendered – as part of the opportunity to post on you.

What is very important [in ending the dilemma of enforced disappearances] is shaping the psyche of the people in which political institutions can play a vital role.

The burning Balochistan
By Ali Jan Maqsood For a Baloch to disappear, it is a usual trend that does not shock the Baloch masses because it has been a common phenomenon for the last two decades. Not only enforced disappear…

They are the present and future of the Baloch. But it won't satisfy the state to keep them peacefully engaged in education. Hence, sometimes hostels, institutes are closed while other times students are disappeared from within and outside campuses.

From the Balochistan lenses, it is no surprise that it is nothing but an educational institute – the Bolan Medical College (BMC) – under the military seizure. Students are forcibly evacuated, who are protesting at the main gate of varsity demanding:

Instead of Oxford and Harvard, these students only demand an end to militarisation and closure of their educational institutes and hostels. This shows how govt uses media narratives to call Baloch anti-educational, while they themselves are as such.

Talal Umer Baloch is one among those abducted from Dasht Khuddan on December 10, 2014 – the International Human Rights Day. Until now, his whereabouts remain unknown. His family is concerned and demands his immediate and safe release from “state torture cells”.
LEAs’ use of excessive powers, rendered by the so-called public representatives, is a direct hint that human rights in Balochistan, along with the media, are a blackout. Stopping BMC students from the protest against militarisation of institutes is the series of such violations.
Earlier, the student organizations had given a call for rally after 16 days of their protesting sit-in not receiving govt attention. They called for the rally to make their voices reach the floor of the “self-claimed public assembly” – the Balochistan Assembly.
