My new mechanic is great! Had struggled to find a good egg this year after my last one sadly passed away.

This guy is tried and true Wainuiomata, knew my old neighbour who has also passed. And nice to see one of the mechanics from the old shop now working there.

Anaru Ryall is the best campaigner in Aotearoa. With Ken Laban’s win on the weekend, that’s the fourth mayoral campaign he’s steered to victory.

And you probably don’t even know his name because unlike most in politics he’s actually about progress for people not his own career.

There were plenty of the cool things about Ken’s campaign in the Hutt but chief amongst them was outside of a small handful of us, the majority of folks who volunteered had never gotten involved in a political campaign before.

They now know they have power. And that’s fucking rad.

I was a winger for the first decade I played rugby. But no, in this instance it was the club insisting that we must identify women from men for some reason that I personally think is redundant. 100 games is 100 games ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But hey, took longer to get on the board than it did to play them!

I personally now have kept my win record on political campaigns I’ve worked on at 100% and that’s pretty neat.

It’s 10% of the total savings they reportedly need to find.

Honestly, I just had really boring, bland stuff slowly.

I love learning about different people and experiencing how different countries organise themselves. All of that is fascinating but my ideal version of that is actually to spend time living in a place rather than visiting.
