it gets very hard not to wonder sometimes how/why the shit you put a lot of effort into gets less traction than the shit you put 0 effort into and focus doing it just for yourself you know? (and sometimes gets hard not to compare yourself to others as well.)

the point i'm trying to make here is that when you're doing a hobby for a long time (example my vocal synth hobby i've been doing for over 10 years now)...and you get comments on something you had put a lot of effort in that says "HOW IS THIS NOT VIRAL?!?!? WHY IS THIS UNDERATED?!?!? CLOUT!!!!"

but then when i post/make something with 0 to low effort it gets a lot of traction/recognition vs stuff i put a lot of effort in and i'm like "why bother putting effort?"

there are days in life where i sometimes ask myself...why do i bother putting any form of effort into creativity? there's been times in both of my hobbies where I put a lot of effort into it and very proud of it..but doesn't get the traction/recognition it deserves

landscape pics is a definite struggle for me (especially in sfw pics) i feel like i have way too much dead space when i make those pics. and when i try to crop them i feel like i'm cropping too much and it doesn't look right to me after i crop it.

and i try to find that threshold in the color editing part of the lights where you can still see some lvl of the lights but it's not overpowwering/blinding or underpowering the character's skin tone

in my most recent one at first i tried using the lighting from the sun but realized that wasn't getting the impact i wanted. so i ended up utilizing Ktisis's lighting stuff to create my own lights and angles from it
