This Remembrance Sunday, we come together to honour all who served & sacrificed for our freedom. Services will be held across Pontypridd & I look forward to joining residents, veterans & community groups in marking this important day.

Lest we forget. 🌺
As Minister for Victims and Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls, I’m proud that this Labour Government is taking decisive action to tackle online misogyny and violent pornography.
Every day, women and girls have their lives turned upside down by cowards who hide behind screens to abuse and exploit them.

We are sending a strong message that dangerous and sexist behaviour will not be tolerated.

Today marks a deeply significant step forward as Parliament debates the Hillsborough Law, with the families who have fought so hard for justice watching on.

I’m so proud to have helped take this forward as Minister for Victims & Violence Against Women & Girls.
Great meeting with Wales Netball’s Sarah and Adrian today to discuss local constituents’ concerns and the exciting growth of the grassroots game. 🏐

Proud to stand with Natalie Fleet MP, Baroness Harman & Jess Asato MP in making this happen.
Our reforms will protect thousands more children & their mothers from abusive parents, a key step in Labour’s Plan for Change to halve violence against women & girls.

This is Labour delivering safety, dignity and change.

The heartbreak is immeasurable, & we remember those who lost their lives, & the families forever changed. ❤️
Today, we honour the 144 lives lost in the Aberfan disaster, 116 children and 28 adults. On October 21, 1966, tragedy struck when a coal tip engulfed Pantglas Junior School, devastating an entire community.
Stopped by The Potting Shed, Llantrisant for lunch today, delicious food and the cheesecake was absolutely gorgeous! 🍰✨
💛 Wear it loud. Wear it proud. Wear yellow this World Mental Health Day. 💛

Today, I’m joining thousands across the UK to support mental health and say #HelloYellow 🌟

There are some amazing charities and organisations out there ready to help and listen, including Youn Minds UK and Mind Cymru.

I was honoured to be at Anfield to pay tribute to the 97 who were unlawfully killed at Hillsborough. Their families and campaigners have fought with extraordinary courage and dignity for decades, and this law is a powerful step towards lasting justice and accountability. #JFT97 #YNWA
The Hillsborough Law will help ensure truth can never again be concealed by the state, and that justice truly belongs to all.
In light of today’s rainy weather, here are some key emergency contact numbers in case of flooding. Hopefully, you won’t need them! Stay safe and take extra care!

Get in touch if you need any help or support.
Honoured to host the #YouMatter mental health event at YMa Pontypridd today 💙 Huge thanks to all the amazing organisations who joined us & to Andrew Jenkins from BBC’s The Traitors for sharing his journey – truly inspiring! 🌟 #MentalHealthAwareness
I pay tribute to the brave families of Michael O'Leary, Helen McCourt, Sarah Everard and April Jones who have campaigned so bravely for change in this area in the face of true adversity. It is an honour to work alongside them.
The desecration of a corpse is not currently a criminal offence in England and Wales. I'm pleased the Law Commission will take forward work to ensure perpetrators of such harrowing crimes can be punished - helping bring some closure and healing to grieving families.
It is devastating enough to imagine the horror of finding out a loved one has been murdered, but discovering what happened to their body can cause unspeakable and enduring agony to victims' families.
Had the chance to visit Barod, an organisation supporting people affected by drug & alcohol use.

They provide non-judgemental, client-led support and play a big role in raising awareness & shaping policy in Wales.

Thanks for all you do Barod!
Was wonderful speaking with Gareth on @gtfmradio.bsky.social this morning! We chatted all about the upcoming mental health event I’m hosting at YMa on 13th September.

I also got to share some amazing news… RCT Pride is back in 2026! 🌈 As a proud patron, I couldn’t be more excited!
Happy #InternationalDogDay!

Here are my Jack Russells, Dotty & Dora, the most loyal companions and full of character. Today’s a chance to celebrate organisations like Hope Rescue, who save the lives of stray and abandoned dogs across South Wales. 💕

The Women’s Rugby World Cup gets underway tonight, and the excitement is building. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to see the trophy up close, a real honour.

Wales are in action tomorrow, and I’ll be cheering them on all the way, come on Wales!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
I am deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Hefin David MS.

Hefin was a dedicated and passionate representative for Caerphilly, whose commitment to his community and our Labour movement was evident in everything he did.
I’m so pleased to see the UK Labour Government announce an inquiry into Orgreave.

My dad was there. He saw what happened with his own eyes.

Since being elected in 2019, I’ve been pushing for this inquiry, and I’m so glad it’s finally happening.
