My name is Alexander ZHamilton. The 'H' is silent. ʒ postalveolar fricative Sharing aspects of an every-guy, dad, husband, human; projecting a bubble of rationality with enough room for everyone. I am not throwing away my zhot.

And in three years
They'll nominate him again.

[Long silence. Then, softer:]

So what do we do?

[Blackout. In darkness, we hear:]

TRUMP'S VOICE: "I'll be back..."

END OF ACT ONE
ZHamilton: [Final lines, directly to audience] They will try to rewrite this. They'll call them tourists. They'll blame Antifa. They'll say it wasn't that bad.

But I was there. [Gestures to audience] You were there. The whole world watched.
TRUMP: [Finally, wooden video message] "Go home. We love you. You're very special. But go home now."

ENSEMBLE: [Bitter, exhausted] Too late. Too little. Too late.
And he watched.
For four hours.
And did nothing.
ZHamilton: [To audience, voice breaking] Five people died that day. Officer Sicknick. Ashli Babbitt. Benjamin Phillips. Kevin Greeson. Rosanne Boyland.

One hundred forty officers injured.
Broken bones, brain damage, trauma.
Four more officers took their own lives
In the months that followed.
FULL ENSEMBLE: [Slow, building]

Four hours
He watched and waited
Four hours
While democracy was violated
Four hours
While his mob desecrated
Everything we hold sacred
Everything the Founders created
SCENE 5: THE RECKONING

[Night falls. Capitol grounds littered with debris, blood, broken glass]
MILITARY LEADERS: [In emergency meeting] The President won't call in the Guard Pence has to do it from hiding The chain of command is broken Democracy is colliding With one man's ego One man's rage One man who'd rather burn it down Than leave the stage
TRUMP: [Long pause, then tweets] "Remain peaceful. Respect the law." [Mutters] But you're very special. I love you.
SCENE 4: THE ABANDONMENT

IVANKA: [At White House] Dad, you need to tell them to stop.

TRUMP: They're angry! They have a right—

IVANKA: People are DYING, Dad!
PENCE: [In hiding] I can hear them outside Chanting for my death The man I served for four years Sent them here with his breath But I'll finish the job I'll certify tonight Even if he never speaks to me again I'll do what's right
ZHamilton: [To audience, barely holding it together] A woman just died Breaking into the Capitol To overturn an election Because the President told her to And he's still watching TV Still tweeting Still silent
OFFICER SICKNICK: [Being attacked with bear spray] I can't breathe... I can't... [Collapses]

RIOTER 1: Where's Nancy?! Where's AOC?! We're coming for you!

ASHLI BABBITT: [Breaking through window] This is our house! We're taking it back— [Gunshot. She falls.]
SCENE 3: THE VIOLENCE

[Music becomes chaotic, discordant. Multiple voices overlapping]

OFFICER FANONE: They're beating me! They have my gun! [Begging] I have kids! I have kids!
ZHamilton: [Horrified] He's TWEETING?! While the Capitol burns? While his mob hunts his Vice President? When will he learn—

[Realizes]

He won't. He never will.
This is who he is.
This is what he wanted.
This is his—
AIDE: Sir, they've breached the building! They're hunting for Mike Pence! Sir, people are dying—

TRUMP: So what? He's got no sense. Maybe they're right to be angry. [Tweets on phone]
TRUMP: [Watching TV at White House] Look at them fight! Look at them care! These are patriots Answering my prayer! [Aide enters]
PENCE: [In secure location] I won't do it, I won't break my oath Even though he wants me to The Constitution is clear There's nothing I can do He's calling me a coward His mob wants me dead But I'll certify these votes Like the Founders said
CAPITOL POLICE: [Overwhelmed] We're outnumbered, we're surrounded Where's the National Guard? We're calling for backup This is hitting hard!
SCENE 2: THE CONVERGENCE

[Music builds - different melodies weaving together]

RIOTERS: [Marching] We're coming! We're coming! The patriots are here! We'll hang the traitors And make it clear!
ZHamilton: [Stepping forward, to audience] He's telling them to march On the Capitol building While Congress certifies The votes he keeps claiming Are fraudulent, stolen But sixty courts said no— He's desperate, he's cornered Where will this go?
RALLY CROWD: [Building frenzy] Stop the steal! Stop the steal! Make them feel what we feel! Hang Mike Pence! Hang Mike Pence! Justice is our defense!
TRUMP: [At podium, to crowd] We will never give up We will never concede They stole it, you know it Democracy needs— You to fight! Fight like hell! Or you won't have a country anymore So let's walk down Pennsylvania Avenue And give them what for!
[December 2024 - Stage divided into sections: Trump at the White House, Rally at the Ellipse, Capitol Building, Pence in hiding]

SCENE 1: THE SETUP
"THE INSURRECTION" - Act One Finale

[Style: Epic, operatic, cross-cutting scenes. Think "One Day More" from Les Mis meets "The World Was Wide Enough" - multiple perspectives converging]
