Witty. Debonair. Stupidly handsome. Notorious liar. I generally try to be a good egg.

TWO PROSECUTORS is a Kafkaesque nightmare of bureaucracy and menace. Reminded me of working at the Treasury. Tales afterwards about the Director's working methods very funny. #LFF2025
THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB leaves you upset , then angry. It should be seen by everyone. #LFF2025
Yes, but much more of a thriller in format. Bad men with guns.
THE SECRET AGENT is a masterpiece of complex storytelling. Set in Brazil in 1977 in a time of corruption and death squads, it's full of humour and dread. Not so much shaggy dog, but it does involve a rampant severed leg and three eyed cat. #LFF2025
ROSE OF NEVADA is an extremely Mark Jenkin film. Many timbers are shivered. #LFF2025.
Even by her own standards, Kelly Reichardt's THE MASTERMIND is a slight and muted affair. A film in various shades of brown that leaves you cold as autumn. #LFF2025
FRANKENSTEIN is gorgeous to look at, very sympathetic to its monster, and goes on way too long. Ups the gore and the bore. ##LFF2025
Greatly enjoyed THE PRESIDENT'S CAKE. Baneen Ahmad Nayyef outstanding as little girl Lamia and a rooster performance for the ages. The second of the Festival so far. ##LFF2025
SIRAT at the BFI imax is mind blowing. Also several of the most Holy Fuck! moments I've seen in a cinema. Outstanding. #LFF2025
Lots of BIG ACTING from Jessie Buckley in HAMNET. Not subtle, but a powerful performance. #LFF2025
Very much enjoyed THE LOVE THAT REMAINS even if I didn't understand all of its Icelandic surrealism. A great dog performance and a terrifying rooster. #LFF2025
BUGONIA is gratuitous and unpleasant. I'm not really a fan of women being brutalised for laughs. #LFF2025
He's saying this so that he can excuse himself when he enacts racist policies of his own to court the Reform vote.
It's not real. It's a 'concept ' version stitched together with AI.
Holy Shit this Geese album is good!
I thought the same. I asked the nurse if I could go through again. She pretended she hadn't heard me. 😃
And of course, we did Cabaret Voltaire.
Football!

The only ground with a crematorium.
Zurich. A place of weird statues and nice toilets.
Basel is full of skeletons, skulls and sinister signs. I'm currently sat in the hotel bar and instead of football, they're showing a documentary about a graveyard. Still, the restaurant next door seems OK...
