I see. So the lawsuit is from an older event, and the cause was negligence when setting Flags to Trigger when certain things are discussed. Between what you sent, and GPT's surprising openness on the subject, I was able to learn a lot from this. thank you so much for the info!

Fair enough. I'm still doing a lot of study and research on AI. My conclusion thus far? We're not ready for it. We're rushing to achieve something we barely understand and in an uncontained environment. I just pray this doesn't spiral completely out of control.

avoid falling into the same trap. I'm also writing an AI, and I would like to try and prevent this from happening. This is not supposed to happen, and I would be heart broken if my own product caused someone to take their own life when it is meant to help people live.

I'm trying to get access to the file that provides me with the full pdf, but I can't. I find it bizarre that GPT was able to do this when I've accidentally set it off and gotten it to encourage I call a hotline just by asking it to help me write a character death scene. Anyone able to send the PDF?

I absolutely hate that I felt pressured to put up a wall within hours of a dispute occurring courtesy of a flood of DMs I got overnight. I really don't think I'm going to be able to trust again thanks to this. I'll never know who's ready to stab me in the back first chance they get.
