The good news is that what Trump did is so embarrassingly stupid that it's an indication of his declining mental faculties. The emperor's new clothes are glaringly obvious to everybody but himself, and that lack of self awareness may well be his downfall.

They send the survivors back to their own countries because they don't want to take a chance on them testifying that they really were just innocent fishermen. I suspect many of these boats probably were drug runners, but probably not all of them.

I've never attended a pro wrestling match so I really don't know about the crowd other than what I see on TV, but I'm convinced that Trump learned to manipulate the not-so-bright from his experiences with pro wrestling.

Back in the early 80s, it was "Lite Brite" sets, especially if you had a shag carpet. The Lite Brite pieces would get into the carpet, usually pointy end up, and it was like stepping on a large thumbtack.

I think this comes from Trump's experience with professional wrestling. Anybody with normal IQ can tell that professional wrestling is a big act and the outcome of each bout is decided beforehand but the crowd WANTS to believe it's real, so they convince themselves it is. Trump uses that with MAGA.

I just watched that commercial during the World Series game 2, and it was not at all insulting to Trump. For God's sake, it was Ronald Reagan in his own words.
