I’ve definitely been feeling underpaid lately 😅 #booksky #library
Tonight I reserved a place for a weekend book retreat with friends. Just the three of us in a random city, in a cute little loft, with some books on our TBRs. The countdown starts now #booksky

Take a day to breathe, and to read. (This message is approved by Blueberry.)

All I want to do is read, responsibilities be damned #booksky
I love supporting indie bookstores, makes me feel better about spending money on more books #booksky

Read a book.

Read another book.

And then read some more.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Some people stop reading a book before the final chapter because they don’t want it to end. Conversely, today I set down a book for a couple hours because I didn’t care about what might happen next #booksky
This month I “only” finished eight books, which is the lowest per month total that I’ve read since July 2023. Really I’m a nerd for my reading stats and am just happy I found time to read at all #booksky

💙📚 Someone asked me this today, and it STRESSED ME OUT enough to make this handy graphic that I will save on my phone so that this travesty of a conversation never happens again.

I did get rid of a couple boxes’ worth of books, but not quite ready to purge more. Maybe someday 😄
Update: Happy to report that all books have been shelved in my new apartment while many other (less important) things remain in boxes #booksky
Moving this weekend. Adding more bookshelves to my new place so I no longer have to store half my books as piles in the corner of my living room 🤦🏻‍♀️ #booksky
Spending the weekend in NYC and saw a great reminder for this Pride month and every month #booksky #library
Overheard some high schoolers talking at the #library the other day.

Teen 1: where do you read, wattpad or AO3?
Teen 2: fan fiction dot net

And so the tradition continues 😊
Need to get the wrinkles out of one of my favorite library-themed shirts. Happy Pride! #booksky
No matter how you pronounce it, I hope you come visit your local library often #booksky
Weeding my personal bookshelves is so much harder than weeding my library’s collection #booksky
Finally getting around to reading two books that I kept pushing out on my #library holds list since last year. Here’s hoping they don’t disappoint #booksky
51% through a book on Libby and 27 hours until it’s due. I’ve never cut things so close 😅 #booksky #library
These book-themed stickers are so cute! #booksky
My urge to regularly place library and Libby books on hold wars with my anxiety over the ticking clock of due dates #booksky
I think I’ve done this once in the 15+ years of my TBR list and it was to remove some classics or biographies that I know I’ll never be in the mood to pick up. If that ever changes, great, but my TBR is long enough as it is 😅

જ⁀➴ Do you go through and remove books from your TBR that you are no longer interested in reading? If so, how often? If not, why?

Book bans aren’t just about content—they’re about erasing identities.

Censorship silences stories that deserve to be told. Let’s fight for a rich variety of voices and the freedom to read.

One of my favorite superpowers at the circulation desk, but then I feel bad when I only remember the face and not the name 😅

Book bans deny us our right to learn about our identities and read about different perspectives.
