After 5 years my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's screen finally died. There was no way I was gonna drop $200+ on a repair, so I did it myself.

Sure the non-OEM (and non-OLED) screen has some visible bezel, my case no longer fits, and I'm sorting out some ghost touching, but I'm satisfied with the results!

Despite the efforts, I was only able to partially recover the last third files. But hey, at least the corruption imparts an awesome glitchcore aesthetic onto them!

Maybe down the line I'll use something like a Greaseweazle to make a magnetic flux copy of the disk, as a fun exercise.

Accidentally fumbled ddrescue, ending up w/multiple disk images. First run kept the filesystem intact but subsequent runs degraded it to the point where files disappeared and I could no longer mount it.

A quick Python script to merge together the binary data of all of the runs resolved this.

Spent my Saturday wandering around VCF West and took a good number photos with my Mavica FD7.

Unfortunately its floppy drive had head alignment issues and, while they read fine on the camera itself, a third of them come out corrupted when read from any other drive.
