Maritime law required it. I will not be taking questions.
tell me the origin of your bsky handle (only tell me lies)
If you’re giving it away, is it possible just to put it on the curb with a free sign on it and post the cross streets on Craigslist? I used to do this successfully. (Not in NYC) I would take the post down once all the items were gone.
I cannot freaking do another Sierra Space situation. I legitimately thought that place might kill him. I was happy when he got laid off, other than they did not even wait a full till 24 hours after the major deliverable was shipped. (RUDE) I suppose that is a bridge we will cross when we get there.
Update: The rumors were true, and it appears that jobs are safe, which is good, but I went and looked at the company’s GlassDoor reviews and they had a 34% “would recommend to a friend” rating, with the lack of work, life balance, and the crushing amount of hours being cited the most. Great.
Fairly substantiated-but-still-unconfirmed rumors are flying that my husband’s company is going to be sold to another company. Or maybe a merger? Unclear. Whatever, but is it too much to ask for one year of stability? Just one year?😭
The number of people who do not understand that many people who are on various forms of government assistance work FULL TIME is mind blowing to me.
SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

I ate an irresponsible amount of hot wings for lunch. Mmmmmm. #WorthIt

Phew managed to make it another day without getting a nazi tattoo. It’s hard out here. Just nazi tattoos roaming the streets attaching themselves to people. Stay woke

All of the Clinton-era conservative pearl clutching about the sanctity of the White House and the Democrats’ disrespect seems like it’s from another world now.

There was a whole scandal because Al Gore made fundraising calls from inside the building. They investigated the Clintons’ cat!
I'm old enough to remember when Republicans claimed to believe that the White House was such sacred space that getting a blow job in the Oval Office was grounds to remove a president from office.
I’m having cravings for 90s era Subway sandwiches. If anyone has a time machine, hmu.
I do know many men who went through a very conservative phase, and some who leaned libertarian when they were young, but I also grew up in a very religious culture where conservatism was kind of a given. Even in that world, I don’t remember any “Nazi phases.”
I just asked my husband, who I’ve known since high school, if he had a Nazi phase and he stared at me for a full 10 seconds before saying “a WHAT phase?” So…
I’m not saying that they were perfect or that they did not have questionable ideas that they grew out of (when you know, better, you do better!) but I do not recall a “Nazis are cool, yo” phase unless they hid it very, very well.
I’m thinking of my male friends growing up and I can’t think of a single one of them who had a “Nazi phase.” Is this really a thing?
i actually don’t think the “average” american millennial man had a nazi phase. it’s not some boys will be boys shit. this makes me side eye you and your friend group, sounds like a personal problem
I’m having one of those days where I’m very stressed out because of the things that I need to do, and the cure for all the stress is to do the things, but I’m too stressed to do the things! Aghhhhh.
I would really love to sit in on Onion pitch meetings right now. I bet “That’s a great headline idea, but it literally happened last week” has been said a non-zero amount of times.
Omg I assumed this was an Onion article!
My late dog was a serious hot mess the last couple of years of her life and a hot hot mess the last three months of her life, and I loved her so much and miss her so much. I would give anything to have her back, but man it was exhausting.
I sort of love the cybertruck because it’s convenient when somebody tells me exactly who they are.
I am also confused and also feel like it’s a trap somehow?
Today I learned how horrifyingly expensive club travel sports are.
WELCOME! Let us all rejoice, for our friend was blind, but now they see!
…are they following me around?
